Well this is the end of my cousins ZC'd SI... He got nailed by some drunk chick in an SUV... damn roll cage saved his ass (literaly)

and laws here are trying to make it so that a roll cage is illegal because it is commonly used in street racing. When things like that happen the cage saves lives, like its supposed to. damn cops.

Let me clairify, they are fine to a point and we are waaaaaaaay over that point now that we have soccor moms and 14 MPG bullshit going. There should be a limit on how many they can make.

I have to agree with random strike.. I don't want the government to limit anything about what cars we can drive. If they chose to drive something that gets 14mpg then that is their choice. The first step is they get rid of suv.. Next you can't lower your car or modify it.. give and inch and they will take a mile. They always come in through the back door also so you don't see what they are trying to do untill its too late. So while you might hate suv's, you need to suport their right to drive one and own as many as they want. When the government is ready for us to stop driving gas thirsty cars they will raise the gas tax so high that we can't afford to drive.

I seriously doubt the government will ever just raise the tax on gas so we can’t afford to drive. If somehow the American motors companies can get there stuff to get more than 14 MPG it would be amazing. Regardless if you or anyone else ones one of these POS's we still share the roads and the planet. I feel that the safety of the public and the planet far outweighs the SUV fad. But as you stated it Todd, Its peoples right then I should be able to go and kill every one of those People who cant drive them because I "feel" like it. The sad thing is that we all base what is right and wrong on our societal beliefs and not what might actually be right or wrong. But its really too bad that the people don’t realize that they can build a fuel efficient SUV. Honda will prove once again they can do that next year. lol.. besides, the 14mpg or 32 mpg doesnt mean they dont emit the same emmisions! Just means that one has a much larger engine. If people are willing to go to the gas station twice as often as other people then they will keep building them. We live in a world of Supply and demand. Whyy do u think there is no more supra or mr2's or Preludes. They weren't selling the number of cars that the Tercel or Civic's were.

The world of hydrogen powered cars is on its way though. They already have such cars driving around. The only reason that they aren't mass produced is because there are no gas (refill) stations around yet.

WTF did this post turn into???? I just think women and SUV's dont mix.... especially drunk women... Seriously on the freeway the majority of accidents I have seen involving SUV, there was a woman driving. This ---- is getting out of control.

My poor cousin was just chilling there in his car delivering a package. And out of the blue this bitch just slams into him. No slowing down, no brakes were heard. She just plowed into him and rolled her ass over.

He's ok besides some neck pain, He says it would have been worse if he didnt have the rollcage. The whole rear end crumpled up and stoped on the cage. If he had no cage that ---- would have kept on going in and prolly would have pinned him to the steering wheel.

I agree its bad.. the problem is bad drivers and not the car. weather they are in a 5000lb suv or a 4000lb family car it still hurts when they hit.

yeah that cage was a very good investment. Was the car a crx or a 5th gen hatch? I know I would not want to get hit hard in my 90 hatch.. There is nothing to it.

if you look through it, you'll see the window on the other side that isn't crunched, you can also see the support for the rear hatch glass, but yeah, if you don't look deep, it definitely looks like a rex :-\

Holy ----! That ---- is ------ crazy! Damn drunk ass drivers. ----. By the way, it's a 4th gen hatch. I bought something from him a little while ago, nice guy and his car was clean too. I feel bad for him and his car. Well on the bright side he'll probably get a gang of cash for it. ----... reminds me of my cousin's collision, just got rear ended a couple months ago and totalled the car. He call up his lawyer quick. Damn man, hey -------- next time you see your cousin my condolences (me be Murdoc bought his PG7). Man looking at those pics, it's a good thing that he's okay, he'd better get to the chiro.

I told him to remove all the ---- thats worth anything.. muffler.. piping.. intake... tach seats... and then when the insurance cuts him a check for the car... He should rip the ZC out... it probably could use a rebuild... but he should get another car

well...i sorta agree with the women in SUV's thing....i think there should be a law that if your car is so high off the ground that you should be a certain heigth to drive a vehicle that big....was the bitch short ???? if she was she needs a jeep cherokee. nothing like a big ass excursion or navigator. and on top of that i think people who get caught driving drunk should go to jail for 3 months....then again im not really a drinker so its not my style....this may piss off ppl who drink and drive home safely from the bars but u know what you shouldnt be driving if you have had more than 1 to 2 beers in ur system damnit...but if you get a DUI ...even 1 should be mandatory 3 months atleast...woman or man....and after that it should get worse. i think like this cause i had an old man about 80 yrs old who was drunk hit my car once...and its bad enough he was that old because them old ppl cant drive for ---- anyways.....and since he was drunk it fucked him up even more....and he was driving a big ass suburban...and i think once people hit a certain age they should be required by law to retake there driving and written test once a year damnit.

I think anything that'll protect you more should be allow. They put roll bars in jeep's stock why not cars? A cop told me I'm not allowed to wear my 5 point harness cause they're not fatory, after looking at that I'm gonna be investing in a cage pretty some. Damn drunk driver, brother a couple of years ago brought a perfect 91 crx and didn't have the car for more then a week. He was staying at his girlfriend's house at the time and one night some rearended it and demolished it but at least he got a kid out of it! By spending the night ;D
