i know because a wastegate actuator breaking is a total result of stupidity. stupidity weakens steel and causes it to break.

yeah i must've replaced it, then opened it up, broke the actuator arm out, and then put the actuator back together, all to just claim it broke... ::)

inside the vacuum canister, the arm has threads to which it is secured to the spring. the arm broke free of the spring at those threads.

are you the new genius of actuators and say its impossible for a mild steel rod of about 3/16" thickness to break? i find that interesting.
