I agree about the piston to wall clearence. Looks real loose yikes! As mentioned get that ---- off the lawn too. Lastly...about the comment on the dipstick. Be real when was the last time you checked your oil. I don't lol. Change it every 2500-3k look for leaks and be done with it. If its burning oil theres a problem. Shiny Z6 anyone? :P

I check mine every day when i get home if I was driving my car. Basically run through the lil check list in my head that I use at work. Oil, coolant, washer reservoir, brake & clutch fluid, PS fluid (on the 240), tire pressure.

update: i might have just discovered the easiest, most secure, and safest way to mount the CCA 6" core. I'm waiting for the paint to dry then it's picture time.

I need to trim the bumper, but it looks like it will fit perfectly in the opening. Gotta run though, so here's what I have so far:
Finished bumper:
Detail of removed pinch mold:
Mounted intercooler:
Detail of space age mounting hardware:
Intercooler reverse side, I can easily flip to this side for stealth action:
Reverse of mounting hardware:
On car w/o bumper:
excuse the mess i've been working too much lately to keep a clean shop.

Re: ooh, shiny, my built Y8 *pics*
i just had my block all worked out...vitara's, eagles, all honda bearings, crank, main, thrust...had it hot tanked, honed,...the crank was from a motor that had a spun bearing so i had that straightened, and all of the journals sized to match undersized bearings...and everything balanced to 9k and im in my motor just a hair under a grand. thats all parts and labor (with me assembling it all) including a full gasket set for the whole motor. so im not sure how you spent 1800 on all that...i had to have more work done than usual because of all the crank work and using undersize bearings. maybe machine shops charge more in your area or something.
but anyways it looks good! good luck with it!
