Details: A native of California, she was a daughter of the late Richard Briggs, who passed away in July of this year, and Carol Glenn Briggs of the Jack's Creek Community, who survives. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are two daughters: Cristi Brown and husband, Scott, of Mars Hill, and Chastity Howell and husband, Nicolas Douglas, of Burnsville; two sisters: Kassie McFee and husband, Doug, of Oxford, NC and Stephanie Hutcheson and husband Steve, of Lenoir; a brother: Billy Briggs and wife, Christina, of Burnsville; and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday August 31st from 1:00pm until the funeral service begins at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Briggs-Bailey Cemetery on Jack's Creek.
