As long as that one seat still has a seatbelt than your legal. If you have a passenger sitting on the floor than that is illegal

I don't see why it wouldn't be street legal. DOT regulations state nothing about the number of seats required in a car, 1 seaters have been made.

Sure, why wouldnt it be legal? as long as you dont have any passengers sitting on the floor its legal. there are no laws stating that you have to have all your seats mounted in the car, so long as you arent transporting people, if such laws did exist then the car companies wouldnt be making removable rear seats in their vans and SUV's. so take your seats out if you want to.

You may get pulled over for suspicion of having a dead hooker on the floorboards, after all, thats what Ted Bundy did, took the passenger seat out of his VW to lay the ladies out of view, but other than that... theres no reason it would be illegal as long as you dont have a passenger there

I drove like that for a long while, rusted brackets broke off, and at least in Florida it wasn't ilegal or I was never told anything. I got pulled over for exhaust tickets and they saw I had no passenger seat and never said anything.

But it sure will attract more attention from the cops, and sometimes they might just "profile" you for being a street racer and find something wrong to give you a ticket.
