I know plenty that are getting degrees or have them, and either do or will make more money than a lot of people that say how shitty they are while speeding down the highway (breaking laws) and drinking their liver corroding/neurotoxic alcohol.

The only reason a judge will say it's worse is because legally they HAVE to punish the person. Ask a doctor what's better for your health, if he'd rather you smoke pot every day or drink alcohol every day. I'll put money on him saying pot.

According to the laws, it's not a good idea. In reality (ie making your own decisions instead of living by media propogated stereotypes and BS) it's not as bad as the leaders make it out to be.

Errrr TV says all people that smoke pot don't do jack and ferget everythang!! Gov't prohibits it, so it must be bad! I'll completely disregard how there's so many people that die every year from drunk drivers, or become useless/homeless alcoholics, or have babies with birth defects due to alcoholism, or have good 'ol cirrhosis :1 And who cares about the hundreds of thousands that die or get lung cancer every year from cigarettes...it's all legal so there's obviously no problem with them...but evil spawn of satan marijuana makes you go crazy and eat all the food and ... OMG... relax and be lazy!!11 *fear*

There are stupid/lazy people that smoke pot, and idiots that drink alcohol, but I don't think either should be prohibited. Let people make their own decisions with ---- that won't hurt anyone but themselves. Like I said, pot must really make you stupid with all the people I know either getting or have already received their engineering degrees that smoke daily.
