everyone takes in things, events, etc. differently because we are all, well, different.

i.e. Eminem's lyrics might strike something hard in some people because of their past, beliefs, etc. while it may be the complete opposite with others for the same reason(s).

(I dont wanna sound like a Matrix character) So, in conclusion, it all depends how you take it. Does it matter what people think if something you believe in deeply is criticised? no!

for example, if Nigel thinks he is a super-duper-uber-manly-god person and hotrex says "H-e-l-l ------- NO-O-O! He's the mother of all gays!!". That dont matter to Nigel, because in his mind, he is what he thinks he is. Unless Hotrex manages to change Nigel's opinion of himself.

Everyone is accountable for how they use their own sphere of influence and so obviously the parents are the most responsible and accountable, but Eminem's influence extends far beyond a handful of people and I just think that he is a poor steward of his accountability. I would like to think that if I affected the lives of millions of people that I could use my influence a little bit better than to breed hate.

I never claimed that Eminem is the only one out there with degenerate lyrics, but I do think there is a better way to excercise your influence than the way he does.

We could argue this to death, and you can think that I single Eminem out (this is not the case, trust me), but that's how I feel about him, and there are many who disagree.

Well, the bottom line is it's entertainment and it wasn't meant to be reproduced. His lyrics sell. If he was rapping about helping old people across the street or feeding the hungry do you think he would have been as successful?

Gotta throw my 2 cents up in the air lol. I use to like eminem alot, back when he rapped about funny ---- like fat bitchs and mushrooms, now it seems like he just raps about people hating him and about him being famous, he is a smart ****** ****** no madder what anyone says.
