Re:old website better then new one

i think that there should be just one setup used as a step by step. every install is different tho. noone uses the same parts. or fuel management. if you do research on the web u will find lots of information. you just have to look.

Re:old website better then new one

Maybe I dont understand "Step by Step" none of the projects have ever been step by step, it was just "hey lets take a pic of this" or just some random shots of the kit. If I made a step by step it would be a huge pain in the ass, and since every setup is so different it would be kinda gay. If you are refering to having all the pictures on one page, we did this for 56k users, so they dont have to DL all the pics at once. and click on a item to kinda get an idea what the ---- they are looking at. I wasnt to thrilled about it at first myself, but it just takes some getting use to. All the pics are still their, nothing has been moved or anything.

<- Topic moved to General!

Any other input guys?

Jeff

Re:old website better then new one

all the projects are exactly the same, i cut and pasted all the descriptions and pictures. all they are is organized and put into a format in where you can tell what the ---- you're looking at and with some graphics. i don't even understand what you're trying to say... maybe you're confused, because everything is exactly the same just spead out. the links are at the top.

Re:old website better then new one

personally i like the all in one style of the turbo projects better... but you're looking at a 1.5meg download on every project and lots of pictures. most of the time with 56kers their connection will get so lagged that IE will stop trying to download images... and they will keep having to refresh the page. which is a pain in the ass.

Re:old website better then new one

If they want step by step why don't they go to that turbo kit 101 site http://coolazz.tripod.com/turbo.html . I think the site is great! I did my turbo project just from talking to people and asking questions. You have to do your homework, you can;t just ask for it a a silver plater. Keep up the good work Jeff! If you need any help, just ask.

Re:old website better then new one

The old site was loaded with alot of detail, some of this was worthwhile, and I'm glad I got a chance to see it. The new site seems to be a bit more general, but the forum's are here for any detail thats needed. You have to decide if the bandwith is better used this way.. Obviously the site will have less overhead and more room for projects this way. maybey 1 compilation of the best tips in detail could be used to address this demand. ::)

Re:old website better then new one

dude, did you just pull that out of your ass or something. everything is exactly the same... nothing has changed. THERE IS EVEN MORE TURBO PROJECTS AND TECH PROJECTS THEN THERE WAS BEFORE.

and we are using more bandwidth than before too...
