Old School

I am currently thinking of starting a project dealing with a civic hb and a integ motor and i might go ahead and do that but i was just wondering if anyone knows and old cars I could hook up? I mean cmon now people everyong has a civic or a crx or and integ or mitsu etc. but i want something old fasioned, kinda as a joke really if anyone knows any old school projects i could look into i would be very happy. Oh yeah no crazy muscle car ---- just maybe and old car body with up-to-date internals. Thanks.

Dodge turbo spirit :)

You cant go wrong with a dodge 2.2 turbo. Lots and lots of info online about what needs to be done to make them nice and fast :)

One of my buddies was always into the early 80's oldsmobile cutlass's. I love the body style and with some nice engine work, jet black paint, tinted windows, dual exhaust, maybe blown and tubbed it's a ------- sweet looking car. You can get them for pretty cheap too and restore em a little. just my .02.

i'm gonna throw some out there....Datsun 510(witha 13b rotary=BADASSS), Mazda RX cars..I think they got like RX-3's or 4's maybe it's RX-6 ANYWAYS they are old and tight, Mazda 323 GTX...a lil more scarce, but turbocharged AND badass, and I have to agree with tha Dodge turbo's BUT NOT a spirit, find a daytona or a charger (they have CS aka Carol Shelby editions of both) with the 2.2 and 2.3?? turbo 1 or turbo 2 engines, and Toyota Celica Turbo models...they made them SEVERAL different years, the All-Trac models tha baddest in my opinion, but AGAIN pretty scarce...one of my personal favorites is the Buick turbo Regals(not as nice as Grand National, but alot less rare therefore less expensive) and yeah I know, it's not an import, BUT it has a healthy aftermarket, AND is one of the baddest cars in stock form...IMO...peaaace

First gen RX-7 (cheap) with a 3 rotor Cosmo engine (20B, I think) (EXPENSIVE). A 510 is an alltime favorite of mine, but I thik I wold drop a 2JZGTTE in it, cause I don't know if its been done, cause everyone drops the 13B in those. A Chevette with a 351 small block is also a cool sleeper. Even a 1st gen Miata with a Ford 5 liter a.k.a Monster Miata, look that one up on Google, very badass. Wouldn't it be sooo sweet to whiip some mustangs ass in a Miata then you pop the hoods and your sportin his Cobra engine. I don't think any victory would be sweeter then that.

BMW 2002 or 320. They are hard to find cheap that aren't rust buckets, but the M10 engine is bullet proof and you can make them scream. Parts are easy to find at the salvage yards, around here anyway. I had a 72 2002 with LSD and a five speed out of a 320 IS that I loved but I got rear ended by a uninsured 18 year old unwed mother and I have it no more.

Re:Old School

yes. I think a 20B runs about $10k

Re:Old School

Of Course the rx-7 is pimp thats a givin as for the others well thats cool to the miait is a good plan but the only this is is that i am a big guy and well lets just say that aint a big guy car thats like watching a a 600 lb fat guy tring to squeeze into a freakin ford fiesta. lol but anyways, thanks for the recomendations but i think ill prolly stick with the civic or i might just say the hell with that project and buy a nissan 300zx twin turbo if ya know what i mean. anyone got one of those? what would need to be hooked up on it?
