how do you figure? obviously welding creates enough heat to melt the metals you are welding, and everybody on here doesn't seem to have a problem with their manifolds melting off of their engines.

Actually I have a sand blaster, thanks for the offer. I know the welds are strong b/c I turned the heat up on that 220 welder and just soaked that weld in the crack a really long time just to make sure....then I hit it with a hammer a few times.
