so, i finally got my boost working right. i was only taking the CRX to the end of the driveway, but realized that i was actually getting boost after a few failed attempts. so i decided to take it down the street. but i failed to latch the hood and lookie what happeded about 80 mph @ 8psi.....




so if anyone in the eastern michigan area wants to help me out w/ a hood or glass it would be much appreciated.

Haha, yeah bro the same thing happened on my Ef. Ripping down the highway and the hood blew open, smashed my windshield, snapped a rusted hood hinge so the hood swung over to the drivers side and fucked up my fender and corner light also... I had no other choice but break the other hood hinge and ditch the hood on the side of the highway. The whole front end was pretty mangled but good thing there was no one else driving aside me at the time That was probably the most frightening thing i've had happen.

 

dam. that ---- sucks. we had taht ---- happen to us a long time ago, but someone was hanging out the moonroof....

i did the same thing a couple months back with my carbon fiber hood. i forgot to lock the locking hood pins, cruisin through the neiborhood and along came some wind. flipped the hood up cracked my windshield but didnt do a thing to the hood. where in "eastern michigan" are you? im in GR

I've got a hood and windshield with a small crack.. might be a bitch to ship from PA though. Up to you man, I got 'em if you need 'em..

im currently looking for a new engine, d16a6 or dohc zc. im not in a hury because as of this moment i have no job because my boss decided to stop paying consumers energy so there was no electricity, then he filed bankruptcy or somethin. So im lookin for a new job, so if there is anyone in the grand rapids area that can get me in somewhere let me know.

 

call your insurance company, (if u have one, lol) and see if your covered.

here in florida, your insurance company is required to replace your winsheild at no charge to you no matter who, why, how or when it was broken.
