I didn't. His parents did. It was their idea. If I didn't configure that ---- for them they would have had someone else do it. Your perspective is a little different when you come from a family that had been deeply affected by gambling.

Yayo--I feel bad for you. Especially if your friends are borrowing money and ---- from you to play poker. That is how it gets started, my friend. One day they'll want to borrow money you don't have, and you'll be like, that fucker already owes me $$$, wtf... You're right though. All good things do come to an end.

they all have money anyway so i'm not too worried and i usually make it a point to give the money to someone that wins ;)

anyhow i don`t think it is right to monitor anyone. specially you really treat him like a buddy of you, now think of one day he found out YOU did it and YOU are the one who`s monitoring all his E-mail and stuff.. :-\..
but i understand or might be i don`t, the presure from your fiancee's parents..might be you can talk to them about what u think and tell them you can try to talk him out of it?...

The way he like poker is just like the way we all like cars..no one can really COMPETELY STOP everything that we`ve been doing for who knows how long. what would YOU feel if one day your parents tells you "STOP GOING TO HMT, STOP TOUHING ANYTHING RELATED TO YOUR CAR, STOP TALKING ABOUT CARS, STOP TOURCHING WRENCHES...etc.." it`s just not possible...i guess you can try to tell him try Not to play too often...sooner later he will find something else to do..it might not happend in a month or two but eventually it will stop.

a buddy of mine was quite into going to actual CASINO for a while, too, started with friends. not sure what he plays but i know he would bring two hundred bucks, bet on black jack hundred bucks a hand...after he win for like one or two times he start loseing , loseing evertime. and somehow we relized he`s spending ALL his $$ to try to "revenge". he would rather not eating lunch/dinner/gas $ to spend in casion..
oh well within a month, and after some serious bashing he decided to quit.

eitherway, TALK is the key. get him sober and he will listen. (or not? :P)

his parrents are int the right here, they still controll what he does and are legaly liable for what he does. he gets cought gambleing online with anyone for money it is a steep fine if hes underage. i play poker a bit and found it was more fun to play with friends over pop/beer than it was to play for money. hes just going to have to understand hes still a kid in the governments eyes.
