Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

You already bought it man. Throw it on there and let us know how it performs!

OBX doesn't have a good rep for quality products, but I'm sure you already know that. How is the thickness of the materials? How about the welds?

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

I still have not heard anything bad about the real OBX, not the ssautoshit not really an obx but advetise as one POS, If it is heavy it should be good, or better than th SS

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

i have an OBX exhaust on my hatch, its actually suprising how nice the welds and materials are.

let it roll, its paid for might as well use it

I'd like to see how this SOB performs also.. but then again at $400 might as well add another 100 and get the real deal from some custom fabs

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

i ordered one for a friend and it was shipped to my house. They look alright, The collector as usual has alot of room for improvment, but is pretty decent, and will most definatly get the job done. It is pretty heavy, and they used slightly better materials this time around i think. But they still have dim-witted morons putting them together because the plate that says obx was tacked on upside down...

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

its actually heavy which is the only thing i like about it. ill take some pics of it since we just started to install it the welds look machine made and that maked me feel better about it. we will see yeah it is paid for so ---- it i paid 475.00 shipped with a 3" dp which looks awesome i wont be using it cause my flange for my turbo is a 7 hole t3.

my turbo is a ar .63 t3 turbine and a ar .70 compressor hopefully it will work out good thanks for the feedback guys

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

just in case it does break, you should attach a small chain to your block and turbo :-X

mattssi 05-24-2005 03:38 PM

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

The one that i rcvd had some fuced 40mm 4 bolt flange on it, and the dp was made for the wrong side of the turbo. But the quality is getting better.

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

Yeah a machine shop should be able to mill it for you. Are you sure you didn't warp it though? I don't doubt it was warped from the factory though...

looking4boost 05-26-2005 01:26 AM

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

nah dude i know i didnt warp it i always bolt it up then i tighten it after. i dont just crank on them right away. we actually got two of them and i tried the oter guys on my car and it was fine im so pissed off this sucks.

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

i've known obx headers to crack multiple times, be wary of this

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???

i'll give you $5 for it!

just a stock b20b engine should do better tomorrow now that we found the problem thanks guys the manifold was fine all along

OBX does not have a factory. Get that thing milled, but take as little off as possible, if the flange gets to thin, the heat will warp it with ease on your car.

Re: obx ramhorn manifold???
