OBX oil pan w/ turbo drain return bung

I found this on egay. It's a Morosso rip-off with a return line fitting. Looks good, but looks can be deceiving. What do you guys think?

i hate all that replica bullshit on ebay. you look for a brand name product, not a ------ back door one.

The bottom line is that it is made by OBX. Never bought any of thier ----, and never will. ;)

It probably doesn't fit right or the flanges are warped. Ask ZexRex how well OBX fits.

that thing looks like ass!!! Bigger capacity probably means a downpipe won't fit any more, and you know OBX = Crap.

Re:OBX oil pan w/ turbo drain return bung

I'm probably going to get REALLY flamed for this.. But I think it would work. I mean... intake manifolds and turbo manifolds are one thing to ---- up, but an oil pan, come the ---- on. if they can't get that right they deserve to die. I think it would be worth it for some1 to try. The extra capacity would sure help the oil considering the extra heat the turbo would add to it.

OBX has recieved a really bad wrap because of SSAutoCrome. If OBX really made parts that just didnt fit, they would not be in business today. Those fags on Ebay sell the wrong parts. Dont get me wrong, I place OBX in a catagory similar to APC, but you have to look at the facts sometimes.

Re:OBX oil pan w/ turbo drain return bung

I would try it for $50 but not $160++. Back in my Rice days I bought an OBX muffler. I still have it and works good and sounds great. I don't know about other parts but It can't be that bad. Are we sure it's OBX and not some Japanese know off? In any case now I know better and would not buy OBX products.

ssautochrome is still in business :-\ even though i've never bought anything from them, whenever i'm cruisin ebay and see their products, i email them and tell them how shitty they are and can't believe people are still buying their ----. also, you notice how other people sell their stuff for them on their too, just with different pics, i guess they've notice a decline in sales because of word getting around about them, so now they have other people selling it as if we don't know it's from them ::)

Re:OBX oil pan w/ turbo drain return bung

The only OBX product i ever bought was an obx 4-2-1 stanless steel header and it worked great. as a matter of fact, me an my friend each bought one for our civics back in the day, no complaints. They both fit great, did what they were supposed to, and looked good. The price was right too.

Check out their website, www.obxracingsports.com i think and look at all the stuff they make. They are getting a bad rap for nothing. Their stuff kicks ass for the money. I bought my stuff from www.massivemotorsports.com which i beleive is like the only authorized obx dealer in the world. Good people and not bad products. GO OBX!

Re:OBX oil pan w/ turbo drain return bung

I also want to add, I just went to the massivemotorsports website to look at what's new, and the REAL OBX MANIFOLD is there. It looks nothing like the one people have been calling OBX for a long time (unless my eyes deceive me). Their stuff isn't as crappy as some make it out to be.

Notice how the wastegate on a REAL obx manifold doesn't exit on the RIGHT like all the imitations do?!?!?!

Re:OBX oil pan w/ turbo drain return bung

Its funny seeing this thread...

I actually bought one of these because.. well.. what the ----. I needed a pan, and for 155 I'm willing to give it a try, I've done stupider ----!

I'll give you guys a product review and better pictures when it arrives. If it totally sucks ass I'll pawn it off on some other sucker on ebay for more than I paid prolly :)

Should be here next week.

On an unrelated note I had some custom aluminum valve covers made for my Mustang, and they LOOKED really nice but pissed oil out of the shitty welds and they had to be totally re-made basically by a friend.... so yes you can easily ---- this up :)

i too have there 4-2-1 stainless steel header, and its awsome, had it for a year, and it still holds up and looks nice. I ordered it form massivemotorsports for around 130 bucks. But DO NOT use massivemotorsports right now, they have not been in business for a while it seems, my two friends, and another person from teh resource sent money, and never got a product, they wont answer the phone, voice mail is full, dont reply to emails, and you have to go through the CC company to get your money back. Beware massivemotorsports.
