OBX LSD First hand experince?

Re: OBX LSD First hand experince?
only thing I hate about B's, people crying when I give them the price to fix 3-4-5 grinds.
I tell them I start at $700, and go upwards. Last 92-93 GSR JDM LSD took $500 in parts to fix, plus my labor and then gas to deliver to middle of Michigan.
I've also installed a Richmond Spool........

Spools are sick. I know a guy that one in his street Civic. He had to do 10 point turns, he soon bought a new transmission and swapped in the spool transmission on track day.

A solid "diff." It's a solid piece of metal that's shaped like a diff and the axles plug into it, like a diff. The only thing is it's solid, no gears, nothing. You get posi traction to both tires all the time. Stupidly unsafe in a street FWD, and it makes turning a bitch. But they own on the drag strip.

spools are like full posi's for chevy v8 powered cars. not so easy to drive and take turns....but owns like a bitch when ya leave two black strips for about 60+ feet.
i love my dads full posi in his nova. i get to have fun with it when i drive. love tail whipping the bitch around turns.

What are your thoughts on the Gear Speed carbon synchros?
A friend of mine put a set in his hydro GSR trans. They seem to work extremely well, but as aggressive as the surface of the synchro ring is, I am a little concerned about wearing the cone down prematurely.

they are not identical - not even close - the mainshafts and countershafts are different - shifting mechanism and shift forks are different - reverse selector is different - Integra 5th gear is in a separate housing on the back of the transmission (like 1g CRX/3g Civic) - gears have about the same ratio as the ZC but are not the same - final drive is different
