I just had the same problem. Sounds like the IAC valve. You should check to see if its pinned correctly in the harness. Mine wasn't and I have to convert from a 3 wire to a 2 wire valve and repin at the ECU. May not be the issue with a prelude but it solved my EK chassis issue.

Look half way down in first diagram. It worked for me. I did the conversion this morning. Of course you need a 2 wire IACV and the plug. I just cut the coolant temp sensor plug off an old harness.

this is for civic but is it the same for the prelude too ?
so i need a 2 wire iac and repin the ecu but i don't know if the prelude engine harness is the same with civic ... sorry man im kindda slow at this thank alots

ok so i check out the AIC plug in my car it a round plug with yellow with black strip and a black with with blue strip and the one in the is civic is a green and a black wire what to do now do i have to switch it to the civic style ? thank
