O2 Sensor Seized, help!
Ok i bought a std manifold yesterday at the wreckers, and i can't get the old oxygen sensor off. It is TOTALLY STUCK on there!!!! I'v tried WD40, liquid wrench, a breaker bar, pipe wrench, and even heating it with a torch. I'm assuming the thread is not a reverse one or anything, just your normal thread right, countercloackwise to loosen(i know stupid question)I'm thinking i should just throw it away and get find another manifold at another wrecker. Any suggestions to how i can get the O2 sensor off??
Thanks alot

hahahahaha...
I had the same problem.
I just cut of the top and drilled the thing out.
And if you damage the threads just drill a biger hole, fill it with some rod weld or something and make new threads.

Re:O2 Sensor Seized, help!
I drilled out the first one i had.... the second one broke the O2 sensor socket adapter i bought.... and the third time i just got some of those vice grip pliers... tightend it to the o2 sensor.. doused the sensor with wd40... and started pounding it with a rubber mallot untill slowly but surely it started moving.
remember to use anti seize compound on it when you install it, so this wont ever happen to you again.

Hey, thanks guys! But yeah, yesterday i bought a 3 foot extension, and the dam thing still wouldn't come out. So i guess its time to drill that bitch out!
And another question for ya guys....
Theres a crack starting at the bottom flange and it goes up about 2 inches. Should i just put some of that brass coloured crack filler for headers on it? Or is it junk.....i hope not because i paid 40 bucks for the manifold. Thanks!

Re:O2 Sensor Seized, help!
try and get some kroil.. its the best stuff ever made. way way better than WD40
mine were stuck on too, but i used some kroil and a huge wrench, i was able to get them out just using my feet to hold the manifold. but if you could put it on a car or in a vice it would help so much
