Iraq's WMD Secreted in Syria, Sada Says

By IRA STOLL - Staff Reporter of the Sun
January 26, 2006

The man who served as the no. 2 official in Saddam Hussein's air force says Iraq moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria before the war by loading the weapons into civilian aircraft in which the passenger seats were removed.

The Iraqi general, Georges Sada, makes the charges in a new book, "Saddam's Secrets," released this week. He detailed the transfers in an interview yesterday with The New York Sun.

"There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands," Mr. Sada said. "I am confident they were taken over."

Mr. Sada's comments come just more than a month after Israel's top general during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Moshe Yaalon, told the Sun that Saddam "transferred the chemical agents from Iraq to Syria."

Democrats have made the absence of stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq a theme in their criticism of the Bush administration's decision to go to war in 2003. And President Bush himself has conceded much of the point; in a televised prime-time address to Americans last month, he said, "It is true that many nations believed that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. But much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong."

Said Mr. Bush, "We did not find those weapons."

Do you really think that a bunch of white, rich men really wanted to help those people out? Yeah, they're a bunch of nice guys. Just like the North during the Civil War. The reason they fought was because they really cared about African-Americans, right? Uh huh.

Oh, and yes, the rest of the world is doing the same exact thing, that's why we got so much UN support for what we did ::)

Live free or die trying should be every mans motto.
They are now free thanks to us. We did a good thing.
Now for the WMDs I would go to war again to protect my rights as a free nation.

So I guess Iraq is a great place to live now with a great standard of living ::) Why waste young americans lives to lower the standard of living in a ---- hole middle eastern country.Just adding fuel to the fire of these ------- fundamentalist terrorists and pissing off the rest of the world for essentially no gain.Saddam was a piece of ---- and brutalized people he def needed to go but there are better ways of doing it.As well at least when he was in power he kept religion in check, terrorists out and there was law&order in the country.

baaaahahahaha

law and order. you mean rape rooms and torchure (sp?) chambers

terrorists were in iraq, its a fact.

and if you think there is no gain in a stable democratic american friendly country in the middle east you are totally misinformed.

Re: Now for something entirely different

Iraq is not even remotely close to a stable country nor will it be any time soon.

dragon 01-31-2006 08:17 PM

Re: Now for something entirely different

the war should have been in afhganistan not iraq. we were suppose to be after osama not saddam. Saddam had nothing to do with 911.

Yeah it would be good if a stable Iraq is possible. Iraq is never going to be stable. As soon as we leave a civil war is going to beak out.

Re: Now for something entirely different

it will be, no one knows how long.

but we already fought a war and won in afganistan, they still have problems but they're heading in the right direction
