Not too fond of Cardboard gaskets?

Go to Home Depot and look in the roofing section for a rubber-like membrane (EPDM) that is being used on some flat-roof applications. Comes on huge rolls, but you should be able to cut off whatever you want to take with you. Cuts easily with scissors and its cheap. Cardboard is OK i guess, but I'd rather take the less Ghetto approach. Used it for my gaskets, just figured i'd share with u niggz.

I just use the cork gasket material you can get in auto parts stores. I then apply a thin layer of RTV sealant to both sides and its never failed me.

I use this on intake manifolds, TB's and other places that dont dont get very hot.

I havent found a need for it other than the gasket for my BOV, and to replace the rubber that goes between spoiler mounts and a trunk lid. It'd probably work for most anything else you need a soft gasket for...Do what u like, just offering an alternative. :6
