My buddy rode in some kid's CRX and he has something like this done. He said it looks like a 2nd shifter in the car. I guess it's hooked up similar to nitrous, spraying right in front of the intake manifold.

Re: NOS Kits for $40 LİİK!!

You go to any kitchen store and get them. They have them there because you make whipped cream with them. If you buy the cracker (canister for making whipped cream) you can fill it with 3 cartridges. It makes a nice sized balloon. And for the ones who think this works on your car, dont bother. Its a huge waste of money and a scam IMO, but try for yourself if you don't believe me.

does this really work?

Re: NOS Kits for $40 LİİK!!

if you get the right hose and fitting, im sure it would work great. the pain in the ass of course is having no control of duration and changing the little bottles. infact, im sure you could tap the fuel rail to a solenoid and have a wet kit. just put a circuit throught the n2o switch that opens the fuel solenoid.

Re: NOS Kits for $40 LİİK!!

that wont work for ---- my 10 lb bottle lasts 2 mins on a 65 shot, it might be a 4hp shot for 2 seconds hahaha

Don't know. He was out of the little CO2 tanks when he was in it. I think he only uses it when he is about to shift for "the extra boost". Like ZexRex said though, I really doubt it does much. It's so small it' would be gone in no time. Now a big tank like ones used for paintball may work better. How effective CO2 is as an "extra boost"? I have no idea.

They use nitrous not co2. the cartridges are the same for the little nitrous and co2. the nitrous aka whipits are used for making whip cream dispensers at restaurants. i highly doubt co2 would do anything for you.

Re: NOS Kits for $40 LİİK!!

12 grams of nitrous = whats in one of those blue canisters = very little boost = inhale yourself and run around youll probly seem to accelerate faster.

I'd like to build a nitrous kit for an RC car using those canisters. I bet that would either kick ass or tear the head right out of the block.

I saw a guy take his T-Maxx and make it water-cooled. Had a radiator in the front and a water jacket around the block and everything. He didn't even run the cooling head on it. This is on the old stock engine that got to 270-300 degrees Farenheit safely and that was the normal range for them. His ran around 150-175. Pretty impressive. And to injector that would be sweet. I might try it now! :P

there was a review in an rc mag like almost a year ago cant remember which one probably rc car action or extreme rc car (if i werent lazy id go look it up) they tryed an rc nitrous kit basically they had a servo open up one of those small canisters and it would run the whole thing till it ran out lol anyways they said it had a bad case of detonation and completely melted the plug. as far as im concerned not worth it just like the rd logics supercharger. also i remember the water cooled t-maxx he used a water cooled pro .15 from a traxxas villan or the head anyways and had a lil resevoir and if i remember right a small fuel pump like they use on some airplanes dont think i ever saw the radiator tho.

Re: NOS Kits for $40 LİİK!!

You have to be sure to get the right sized dispenser. All the Nitrous cartridges that I have are shorter than the CO2 ones. I have seen places online that you can get differnt sized "crackers"/pumps that have a lever activation like the one shown.

It would be totallyh worthless in a car though. You would get very little if any power at all.

strange....i remember a while back i was reading some feedback on a guy who was selling these kits and people acually said it worked good?! ??? damn retards, i guess when they hear the word NITROUS they must THINK there going faster? ::)

i did that once while driving... i crashed into a bridge.

its a bad idea to have a 4' tank in your backseat and friends filling ballons.

Really? thats cool to see other people tryin that but there was a water cooled t-maxx in an rc car action from sep 2001 at the pro-line nitro maxx challenge a guy named brian skinner had a water cooled t-maxx and won thei high tech award :)

Re: NOS Kits for $40 LİİK!!

LOL. That's pretty cool. The nitrous idea is kinda cool, but pointless since they run nitro fuel anyway. Buddy ran 40% because that's all they had. LOL. It blew have gallon later or so. Those engines are good. For a little bit then they are worthless. There fun, but cars you can ride in so that beats it. CO2 might work, but I don't know. It's wortth a shot and my T-Maxx isn't running do to the dang pull-starter, again.
