NO WAY?!
I was just reading in the 1/4 mile times area and I saw this:
"completly stock 90 civic hatch, full tank of gas, going clutch, two clicking half-shafts, street tires, and unbalanced rims yet still able to pull a 16.80 at around 88-90mph " I was thinking to myfelf there is no way!...is there? Unless it is an Si right? |

And about that time, I think it's possible. I think my ex-hatch with a d16a6 stock would have been able to pull a 16 1/4mile... maybe even 15.99 :o :P |

Re:NO WAY?!
I thought that setup was good for low 16's maybe high 15's. So losing acceleration due to clutch would account for the slower time but fairly normal trap.

Re:NO WAY?!
well it was the single cam si motor, in a base chassis.
|
Re:NO WAY?!
if it was an SI motor then yes its possibe. when I had my Green hatch i ran it stock with 1/4 tank of gas and bone stock it ran 16.4 on street tires. So yes its possible

Re:NO WAY?!
Ok well that would make a little more sense, but he just didnt clarify, the stock Si from then is supposed to run like 16.3...so with a decent driver I can see a 16. My car stock is supposed to run 17.4 and I ran a 17.1 with a blown O2 sensor and crap tires.
