No shave December guys, need advice. (you November ******* stay the ---- out)
So, I've never grown a beard before and didn't grow up with a dad to get this sort of advice.
The mustache part of my beard is super bushy and the last three days has started to go a little wild. Should I just trim it shorter, or does anyone in this day and age use mustache wax? I'm half tempted to handlebar the ----------er, in this town I'd pick up a ton of sleazy hippie girls with a mustache that screams I'm an unemployable -------.
Your $0.02 is warmly welcome, and ---- the November guys they can STFU.

There is no right way to grow a beard. Grow it the way you like it. Trim when you think it needs to be trimmed. Trim where you think it needs to be trimmed. My best advice is to get a decent set of scissors and trim a little at a time. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten impatient, trimmed too much, and was dissatisfied with the end result.
I don't use any product in my beard. I probably could use some but I'm of the opinion that I'd rather trim it down a significant amount and let it grow back rather than do daily bullshit maintenance. Some people are into their beards at certain points and are willing to use products. Nothing wrong with that, it just defeats the purpose of having a beard for me.
PS: ---- you no shave for a month *******. Instead of wasting your time growing facial hair, grow a sack instead.

Well I just hit that point again with my beard, where the mustache is starting to go in my mouth, but I think I will trim the whole thing, normally I just trim the mustache part.
If it grows right you can do a really greasy mustache even more so then the handle bar setup. Connect it to your sideburns, shave everything below that line.
