We need to go back and start using winrar compressed with PW protection and different torrent titles. Include the description and title of the movie in the torrent description when posting on internet, but not in title or contents.

Re: No more lawsuits for P2P

Ok so for them to know you are downloading the file doesn't the company have to set up a operation to seed the file themselves and check who is connected to report to the ISP? In this case if the company is seeding it wouldn't it be legal to download as they are putting it out there and/or entrapment?

It worked for Mr Plemmons, an Asheville native who set the precedent for entrapment.

Yea jd and i can think of a few laws that worked to keep darkies at the back of the bus but now were all darkies and the law doesnt give a ---- what the precedent is.

Re: No more lawsuits for P2P

Ha my cable provider has already sent me 2 emails asking me to delete downloaded torrents from my pc, and recommends that if I dont stop, they will cancel my service. Funny part about it is the second email referenced a call of duty game that I KNOW was not downloaded from my IP, as myself and Joseph both despise FPS games, lol. ::)

no they just look at the packets going through their servers and have a list of names that bring up red flags. since it has an ip address and a mac address, they know EXACTLY where it goes. Then probably what they do is look at all the traffic going to that mac address, and see if they can tie an e-mail address to it, and blamo, an e-mail gets sent.

If comcast threatens you to stop your the service, tell that the price is too high anyways and you want to cancel. They will lower your price back to the promotional price.

why? does the contract say they can monitor your traffic? if not, then you can sue the ---- out of them.

fucken ----.

Comcast hasn't said ---- to me yet. ive downloaded over 100 gigs of HD movies and uploaded twice that, and i didnt get sent ----.

my brother who has vonage, got an e-mail. He told them to go ---- themselves.

Re: No more lawsuits for P2P

I don't know what my contract says. Every russian I know call comcast every time their promotional offer expires and complains that the price is too high. In order for comcast to keep them they always give them the offer again. Not bad paying $20 for the fastest internet available.

I got a letter like that from Bell South, Stated something about me offering for transfer copywrited material. Didnt do a whole lot of P2P, so I took most of my files down.
