nitrous or not?

i got a d16z6 in my 93 si hatch right now with headers, i was planning on going turbo but ive decided to sell my turbo kit and eventually get a b series (probably sometime in february or march) but im pretty strapped for cash right now and i dont want to spend to much more to make my d series faster, would nitrous be a good way to go? Anyone nitrous'd a sohc can you lend some info? The kit i may be getting is a zex if that matters. thanks for the input

Just leave it stock and save your money if you want to swap a b-series motor in.

I have used the zex kit on 5 sohc motors. I have run 75 shots on all of them with no problems but you have to buy additional parts that you will need anyway. You need a b&m regualtor, zex plugs, fuel gauge and fuel pump. The best time I got out one of these set ups was a 89 crx hf w/ a jdm d15b vtec swap running a 60 mm throttle body and one of my ported intake manifolds and bolt ons. Car ran a 13.20 at 103 at LACR on 20 inch slicks. It's a great economical route that works.

Re:nitrous or not?

I ran a 75shot dry zex kit on my 155K mile D15b2 for about a year ( 9 bottles ), and never broke or hurt anything !!
I have/had the factory 155K fuel pump, injectors, and B&M FPR. Even had factroy exhuast and manifolds.

$375 shipped for it, if your interested ( includes bottle warmer, and pod mount nitrous presure guage ).

Even if you don't buy my kit, the zex kit really requires a bottle warmer since it adjusts the fuel via bottle presure ( IE: more bottle presure = nitrous, more nitrous = more power. ).
The bottle warmer go for about $120 new.

My friend ran a 50 shot on his consistently till he got rid of his. It was a 95 Si, stock d16z6, nothing built, ghetto rigged intake, thats about it. Should be fine.
