the t type was offered in two colors, black and white. the we2 option existed on the t type as well (black out grills and trim), while it was standard on the gn. the t type is actually rarer than the gn, less were made than the gn every year. in 1987 the t type had the we4 option added (turbo t) to it which made it the fastest turbo buick made other than the gnx. the we4 option included the aluminum wheels, lighter bumper bracing, and a few other minute things. |

When someone says Grand National I think GNX. Nothing else counts period. Are you certain of your numbers? I've seen a few GNX's in my life, one is for sale on a used car lot and another a guy at work owns. On top of those two I've seen 2 or 3 other genuine GNX's in Winchester, VA. So roughly 1% of all GNX's I've seen first hand in Winchester, VA which I find hard to believe because Winchester is tiny. Yes they've all been genuine numbered GNX's.

Those cars are all nice, but i find the interior of a mid/late 80's domestic seriously lacking, unless you like squares and boxes everywhere.

its an acquired taste. my cutty has the 60/40 bench in it. and the square everything, hell even the headrests are rectangles. but ya know what? its defiantely sleeper. 12.18 on motor and i ran around with the wire mesh hubcaps, a "follow me to church" bumper sticker, and a "let me tell you about my grandkids" front license plate. i even went as far as tack welding a set of mesh hubcaps onto my slicks wheels. you would see it in a parking lot and think little old lady. but these mother fucker are comfortable, god i could sleep in there, oh wait, i have. ;D
