lol. theres no point. your power suply will power a buncha ----. im runing a 300 in my dual p3, its got the scsi hard drives, the dual cd roms, the single ide har drive, and a couple case fans. works out just fine. just read into what your components need. suprisingly you dont need much at all. like a single case fan takes up like what? 5 watts? thats nothing. a hard drive takes what? 20 watts? 30 watts?

thats nothing.

my geforce 6800 ultra wont even run on a 350 watt. so i have a 500w because it didint run to well on a 400 still needed juice. now if you had pci express 6800 ultras in sli you would probebly need a 600w. my sata's are hard on power too

msi k8n neo 2 platnium nforce 250gb
2 80 gig 10k rpm sata drives in raid
2 gigs corsair 400
3700+ socket 754 bling blow chip
geforce 6800 ultra frying pan

... are you sure? 8)

1. no such thing as a 10k rpm 80 gb hard drive.
2. the NEO2 is a s939. and if say u meant neo s754 there's only 3 ram slots and 2g of ram is not possible. :(

:p

and if you say you "dont know much about PC's and was wrong" then you shouldnt even have that kinda hardware.

umm i have my box right here the part number to the board is a485487 and its socket 754 and it is a k8n neo platnium nforce 3 250gb chipset. i have no idea why i wrote 2 was on lunch break and kinda writing and not paying attention. i have 2 gigs of ram in it. 2 1g ddr pc 3200 chips. the board reads them so is it lieing to me? do i not realy have them in? and yes there not 80gb there 73gb wd but they are 10k rpm. so i faked the funk 7 gigs a drive. its not like most 80 gig drives pick up the whole 80 gigs anyway.
i paid about 230 for both. but i get all my ---- at cost because my friend works at a computer store

i apologize for faking the funk 14 gigs

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145505

thats the link to the ram im using

http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produc...il.php?UID=572

my board. and if you notice on the page theres a big fat red letterd

• Supports a maximum memory size of 2GB for DDR400

dont mind me, i was in a bitchy mood yesterday, training some guy to take my job so i can get a better position and he's drivin me up the wall!!

Host your pics on imagestation or whatever. then click the add image button. Cut and paste your picture's address between the 2 bracketed html tags that the "add image" button inserted.

Re: Nice Computer. . .

try crap cleaner. it deletes all the crap. theres other programs that you can use to edit the start up or you can just go into the registry and do it. i use anvir but i think the new hijack this might do it

ibby 05-22-2005 06:20 AM

Re: Nice Computer. . .

Look for a defrag program that will defrag the boot sector of the hdd.

you can always swap the pagefile over to another hdd to speed the comp up.

Pentium 4
*2 GHz
*256MB RAM
*2, 40gb Hard Drives

http://home.ripway.com/2005-1/253028/scrn.jpg

* = going to change

i just put this bitch together yesterday, after my old system fried (power surge owned me) was a mofo to get running, one of the power supply's wires is a little stripped so it kept grounding itself out of commission.

coming soon: 1GB RAM, replace 1 HD with a 80GB, and add another 20gb (my bitch drive for Windows) and, i'm overclocking the board and CPU up to 2.2ghz, just for that extra boost. Soon to be putting in my good graphics cards; a year old GeForce with 128MB and a simple ATI TV Wonder

---- you buddy... ' a tacky green ide cable' if anything is tacky, its you trying to disect my computer.

no its not a kt266 chipset, its a K7S5A pro rev 5
no, its not some cpu the CPU is a AMD 1800+
no, its not a tnt2/nvida agp. possibly ti series, its some piece of ---- 'Geforce4 MX440 with AGP8x....

the case is a nice antec case...

The computer is probly a year and a half old, I can't really remember, we have 3. It runs The only game I've ever played, COD:UO at over 120FPS at close to the highest resolution.

And yes, My CPU and case temps were really high till I cleaned the computer out.... Time for some overclocking :D

Bull man.. No way in HELL a GFMX440 can get 120fps at the nearest to high res. ::)

These tests using a p4 3.2ghz w/ 1gb ram. NO WAY you get close to 120fps.. maybe looking at a wall ::)
Prove it. Stop lying. You'd be lucky to get 30fps. oh.. 640x480 is not close to the highest res either, hell, 1024x768 isnt close!

ok ok, you got me, not the highest resolution... the max cod will let me run is 1280x 1024, instead of the 2000x 15000 or whatever, it wont let me pick that option... anyway...

me playing at high resolution... notice the fog, I'll get a screen shot later with travis in it in case you don't believe me.... (fps is capped at 125)
