I think tech should be relative. If you roll into tech with a safe well put together car they should be reasonable about it. None of this punishing the import kids by making them buy more safety gear they don't need (I can understand it with nitrous) However, if you pull into tech with a shady heap of crap you should need a fire suit, helmet, knee and elbow pads, mouthgaurd...

sad thing is that half of the turbo cars that i have seen at the track are very poorly put together...

and no matter what you guys say, HomeMadeTurbo kits and poorly made turbo kits is probably what fueled the fire for this rule to take place...

birdshit welds, smoking turbo's, cars that run on an FMU and a basemap, and those ***** that like to blow up going down the track spewing coolant and oil all over the track...

im not saying all homemade kits are bad, but from what i have seen, the majority of homemade kits are put together VERY poorly and i am surprised no ones ---- has gone up in flames yet.

You should put your flame suit on now............

I guess you haven't seen enough of this site. A low budget looking setup does not make it less safe. it's all the same.

Go ahead and try to count how many guys here run FMU's, you can probably count them with your fingers.

any and all cars can blow up, I've seen more cars blowing up in pro races, than anywhere else. Actually not even once in a test and tune of street cars. Unless you are from some hick town, or ricer infected area. I don't know.

I guess you are the type of person that would rather pay an extra $3 grand for your turbo kit, because you want it to be nice and shiny, and then pay another $2 grand for someone to install it for you.....

FYI, shitty homemade setups are not solely for hmt.com ....

if you think every turbo'd car owner posts on hmt, hahaha, your sadly mistaken.

as for no other cars blowing up.... get out more, it happens often, and not just on the track... most of the shitty cars are already broken down.

as for your comment about me spending money to make it all nice and shiney, do some research on whom your trying to poke fun of.... here, i will make it easy for you.... www.donkeypunchperformance.com see if you notice something there, oh wait, im the owner

WTF are you rambling about? There's also shitty all motor car and shitty nitrous cars. This rule wasn't created solely becuase of HMT kits.

Ok so what you are saying is that you own a speed shop or something similar and you want people to buy from you. You don't know who I am or what I drive either. Why would I think all turbo cars are on HMT, if you think I think that, or actually think that anyone could possibly think that all turbo cars in the world are from HMT, then you are the ignorant.

I can give to ***** about other sites and other setups, I only care about HMT and what I see here, and that's what I was defending. I now there's shitty setups everywhere. But when you post the way you do here, you are refering to this site specifically, not any other site, or that's how it sounds.

If in your town you guys have shitty tuners then I guess it happens often. But that's not the way it is around here.

okay

When ever you say HomeMade Turbo kits, we will think HMT.com kits, period..........
this rule happened because it happened, is like you are blaming people that like to work in their cars for the new rules. So everyone should go to a shop to get work done...
