Default Newbie coming to the Darkside. D15b2

Alright Guys, My name is T and i am from the UK. Hats off to you guys as you have some nice setups which i did not think were possible. I have owned many EG's, a DX, 2 DOHC Vtec Eg's and now have come to a LSi (d15b2). Although the Betocks were fun i bent my last one and decided that i would get a LSi and then wack all the Betock stuff over. The wiring seemed to hard (time comsuming) and the LSi was giving me some nice MPG. Well now i have thought to myself stuff the MPG i want to boost the LSi. I have sold all my Betock stuff besdies the engine as it has done killer mileage and know one will offer me money for it so i will store it away for a future project sogoing for the B16 is a no go.

Am i crazy in trying to boost this D15b2 engine? i am a complete novice although over the past couple of days have gained some useful knowledge through some mild research. I saw steve on here has done one which seemed nice, what sort of power will i be looking at, 160BHP + with 140 talks (nice powerband) and this would make me happy.

Is this worth while and can it be done at low cost and without messing inside the engine?

What conversion would i have to do to the fuel system (can i stay with DPFI or do i have to go for the MPFI) and what ECU would I have to use? Chrome?

Thanks
T

No worries we have plenty of gigglers over in the UK that do the same.

First off - It's Crome, not Chrome. Chrome is a finish, Crome is an engine management system.

Secondly, nobody cares about your car history at all. We could give two ***** about it.

Lastly, every question you've asked as been answered in either stickies, or can be found by searching. To be nice, yes many people have turbocharged that engine. Can it be done at low cost? Son, you're on HMT. What the hell do you think we do? You don't need to, but should do an MPFI conversion. It will save you a lot of hassle.

Now post ****.
