Newbie to Car Tuning, Need Sources

sup, im the guy taht keeps posting threads about simple questions, anyways im 15...hoping to get a car around 17...and money isnt that much of a problem to me, im thinking to buy a rsx or 350z and tune it. but obviously money isnt a problem for me, but i wanna make sure i tune the car i get in a couple years right. so ive been going to forums like this one and researching and learning....3 months ago i didnt know how the hell an engine worked...didnt even know what a turbocharger was. now ive been leanring and everything. How did ya guys learn about the engine:? ive been going on the internet on this site and looking at the projects etc...also www.howstuffworks.com is an incredibly helpful source. wwhat are some other instructional sites that ya perfer? i also have read that many of ya started reading books. What would be a good engine (imports) book to buy from a bookstore that will keep training me in this type of thing. 3 months ago i didnt knwo how to even change a battery on a car....i want to keep learning so i make all the modifications on my car. anwyas do ya have any good sites, books, ideas, etc that will help newbies learn more? thanx

Thanks for letting us know twice that "money isn't an issue" with you. Why are you bothering to buy a brand new car with factory warranty and do all that ---- to it?

If you were really serious about getting your hands dirty then pick up an early-mid 90s honda civic/prelude/accord/integra and get to work on a real HMT style setup man. Education is one thing they can never take away from you.. instead of pissing 30k+ on a new car go buy yourself some tools and learn how to do the work yourself and get dirty like the rest of us.

UM homemadeturbo.com. Seriouly though this site is by far one of the best. There is always honda-tech and the old hybrid board that has alot of good write ups from the early days

do some reading about the different OBD's and you might pick up a mid 90's car... I personally like 94-95. But its your call. You've got lots to learn and read.

All the help i've given to newbies, at least they had some sort of direction before asking the questions.

Most I can suggest you to do is read the ---- out of the internet, google search every question.. the info is out there. Then if it's complicated and direct, you may ask us, just don't start spouting off random ---- cause people will flame you. Oh and try and spellcheck first, I assume you're operating off of a $2000 new dell or sony computer that your parents got for you and it has some sort of word processor software installed. It's just the polite thing to do when asking a question to a bunch of random strangers.
