Newbie

Hello to all. I am new to this forum and more than likely will be asking lots of questions. I like doing things differently than just buying a kit that bolts on. Usually its a lot cheeper. I restore and build classic Mustangs as a hobbie and have drifted away from the "concours correct" cars into the restomods, which I have had a lot more fun with. My current project is a 65 Fastback with twin rear mounted turbos, built 302, and a lot of custom features. Its almost ready for paint, and hopefully it will be complete by spring so that my wife can drive and show the car. Thanks, and I'm happy to be here.

I wonder how many of you so called "CAR BUFFS" have ever seen the original Gone in 60 Seconds...Everybody always refers to the 2000 era Eleanor...The car in the original was just a plain jain lookin' Mustang, still kicked some serious ass.

It's on par with the first rule of government spending:

Why make one epically bad movie when you can make two with bad actors, shitty writing, at 20 times the cost. :-\

I watch the first Herbie today and I was damn. This is a ------- badass movie as the stunts and driving with that bug were crazy. Then Lindsay Lohan had to come in and ---- the Herbie name.

You know she snorted coke and fucked in the back of that prop car. I wish they would have got vid of that. It would have made "herbie at Daytona" a little more interesting.

Re: Newbie

Well, I was just a kid when I saw the original, but I thought it was cool personally. It had lots of car chasin' and crashes and ---- so that made it a winner to me. Can anybody remember the name of the other movie about car thieves that came out in the 70's?? I used to watch all those movies with my dad...he was into all that type ----. My favorite is Two Lane Blacktop. Kind of weird how it ends though...looks like the film melts or some ----. Weird.

Re: Newbie

Agreed...

VP pwns all other car films...

I personally enjoyed watching Lindsey climb through the window of the stock car in a skirt in the new Herbie.. made the entire movie worth watching..

And the new GI60 seconds is much cooler than the orig... unless your 50 maybe...
