That's the 05 Corvette. Pretty neat, saw it in a Motor Trend mag.

Re:new vette or custom job?

Re:new vette or custom job?

Re:new vette or custom job?

looks alright, i like the 03 style better though. i believe the z06s are faster than c5s, or were. maybe the new c5s are going to be top of the line i don't know.

Last_Mohican 04-18-2003 12:54 AM

Re:new vette or custom job?

ya but the C5R is really tight as was made obvious in the lemans series (one of my favs). A friend of mine works for Pratt&Miller and works with the C5r race team. I go to petite LeMans(10hr instead of 24hr) every year in Altanta..so if anyone lives near Atlanta give me a shout cause we have a big group that goes. We go all out too ..griling Motorhome somtimes and fourwheelers. Dang i love road racing ..

I think those Z06s are going to be the fastest model for a while - I mean it was an anniversary deal wasn't it?

Re:new vette or custom job?

Before I got my Z, I had my eyes set on a Stingray. It was really sexy, but it was an automatic. No use buying a fast car if you can't control it.

J-SMITH69 04-18-2003 11:50 AM

Re:new vette or custom job?

stringrays are all pretty slow, low compression 350s. but if you were to buy a 69 lt1 bb427 stringray. it would be fast :)

automatics are fun to drive in muscle cars. completly different than lets say a honda auto tranny.

if you want to shift manually you can just hold it in 1st or 2nd :)

Re:new vette or custom job?

The Stingray just looks so Sex0r.

Um, I think the 69 Stingray (427) was an awesome machine.. I'm not completely sure, but I'm almost certain it runs 12's stock.

Re:new vette or custom job?

I think that's a custom job. There are some people out there that do some incredible work. I don't know if any of you guys are familiar with Mercedes, but there is a Mercedes that isn't even in production. The only thing they really made of it is a model, well it's the Mercedes SL-R and there's this guy that built a very NICE replica of it on a '80's Mercedes SEC coupe chassis. Wow that was one of the best replicas I have ever seen. I try and find the link. But wow he built himself one beautiful car.
