No way the Bush economic plan does that. Gotta love the middle class republicans who will vote for Bush so your kids can pay off debts from our lifetime.

Its true though. I heard a professor refer to our economy as being an "idea based" economy right now. Basically, we come up with the technology, we send it to other countries so they can mas produce it cheaply, and then we buy it back from them.

On that note, I am heading out to Best Buy for lunch. I think I am going to pick up the new USB PDA flat panel dual processor dolby digial 5.1 camera phone video game system. I heard its hot ! :P

I am getting a little pissed at some companies using other companies for customer service. Lately I call my credit card companies and all I get is people speaking broken english that can't really help me out. Everything for cheaper labor, soon enough we will be screwed.

Not to say that people from other countries come in and steal our jobs but... People from other countries come in and steal our jobs. The bottom line is they really can't do the job better or even as well. They can't even speak english. I had a brief stint working for a Consulting company where I heard and saw first hand how tons of computer programming and IT jobs in Connecticut at least were given to Indians who don't speak our language.

Dude, that is one of the biggest things that piss me off in the world. I always thought they did that on purpose so you don't know what they are saying and just agree with them, even though they are signing your ass up for a $79.95 annual fee for some bullshit protection plan. I hate those bitches. Alot of them speak english, but they have such a bad slang you can't make out words. I know they hire those fuckers on purpose. It's like a company policy that you can't speak english in order to work there. >:( >:( >:(

Re:The new us economy!

The problem is, employers feel as though they are getting more of their moneys worth out of certain types of people over americans. I know in my line of work (research), the asians are here ALL THE TIME. They are here when I get in to work at 8, they are here when I leave at 5, and they are here when I have to stop in late at night to work on something. Their main priority is work, so they do it all the time, whereas I would like to go home to be with my family or do pretty much anything other than work. I am not saying that they are better, b/c in my lab they actually drain a fair amount of reseources since they do things over and over again, but I know bosses like them b/c they see them working all of the time.

ahh, I just figured because that's seems to be something you would hear democrats whining about. If you want to start a new party, I'm cool with that. It doesn't seem like either of the parties want to even talk about immigration and all that other ----. As long as you make immigration your #1 priority, I'll vote for you. ;)

Re:The new us economy!

it makes sense from a business stand point... why pay an engineer 80k a year here, when u can get the same thing for 35k from some indian? Everyone is in it for the money, so why not? they shouldn't do it cuz YOU dont like it? HA, im sure the CEO will be thinking of that when their bangin their wife on their yacht....

not that i agree with it, it pisses me the ---- off. but it is the truth ;)

It's called business ethics which the right wing lacks. They dont give a damn about the small guy. Also the way our government is set up it is a 2 party system do we need to bring up Nader and 2000. He lost the election for Gore. It's just how the system works it isn't the best thing in the world but you can't complain to bad.

Re:The new us economy!

Well, with somewhat of a global economy, you can expect some jobs to be outsourced to other countries. The thing that pisses me off is when are jobs are stolen in our own backyard (illegal immigration) and people think that it makes sense because it makes our products cheaper. What they aren't thinking about is the 4.7 billion dollars that just California pays every year to give social services to people who shouldn't be here in the first place. Low cost goods don't seem like such a great idea after all, now does it? ???
