New Turbo Disappointment...

Well I needed some new razors and my mom had to pick up a few things at wal-mart so I told her to get me some. She calls me back and asks if I want original mach 3 blades or the turbo mach 3 blades. Well I figured I would give the turbos a try.

Comparison: I wasn't a big fan of the color change to grey since I liked the original black, but if they perform well I don't really care. The turbo blades looked about the same as the original so I wasn't sure why they were turbo.

Installation: They were just as easy to install as the original blades. If you can't figure it out your retarded.

Performance: They are supposed to be smoother and they were. After the first swipe with the turbo blade I could tell they were different. I swear I could feel the aloe and vitamin E as I was shaving. I was very disappointed in how close they shaved. Since they were turbo I was expecting them to be a lot better, but I thought they were actually worse. I have only used them once so I will update later when I give them a few more trys.

Overall Review: If your looking for a close shave stick with the originals. If you want a smooth shave get the turbos. I can still feel the aloe and vitamin E and I shaved yesterday.

Pat

I cut myself about 50 million times, but I was expecting that because they were new blades. I cut myself just as much with new original blades as I did with the new turbo blades. They should get better after I use them a few times.

I use the cheap diposables. ---- all that commercialism with "The ultimate closeness" and all that other ----. Give me a ------- knife to shave my grill with and I'll be fine.

I have to say though, the last pack of disposables I bought came with 2 Gillete sensor3 razors and it alost changed me. Those things were nice, but ---- that ----.

I use the mach 3 turbos, but i get mine the HMT junkyard style.. Free!! they kept sending me new razors.. shave a little, new razor, shave a little, new razor.. viscous cycle.. but i could sell thes things on egay..

i have noticed some boost lag though with attempting a slow to full throttle. i would definately say that they a good bang for the buck. but, where does that little stip go? dam things keep disappearing on me..

overall bad thing, they need frequent oil changes.. at least for me.. mine most burn some oil, or have blow by or something?

I have the Mach 3 turbo champion. Its nothing better but its just red and i was tired of the black. I love the Turbo over the original. It shaves closer then the other and it makes my skin feel better. I would recommend the Turbo over the Original all the time. :D

Re:New Turbo Disappointment...

I also just got a new turbo to replace my original mach 3. I was most pleased with the closeness of the shave, you have to keep it really wet or the little ------- strip thing breaks off, though. Oops, I mean if you don't get enough oil to the bearings the thrust face will shear off...

I would not put a razor near my nuts for fear of cutting my sack open and having one fall out... then I'd have to goto the hospital and explain that I was shaving my sack...

I use some ramdon ceap plastic ones, the ones that arelike 2 dollars for a pack of 50 or so.

Re:New Turbo Disappointment...

I use the single blad 12 for 1.50 razors, the turbos cost too much. I think I might hook it up with that in car shaving with the electric one sometime, just because it would be one more thing I could do while driving.

I got one of those for christmas a few years ago, but it wasn't nearly as close as blades and it kinda burned my skin. I just liked it cause I could tell poeple I had the goo shaver. I have another electric razor, but that one isn't too great either. They are a lot easier to use, but I will proly just stick with blades.
