So this weekend I drove an hour north and met aaron aka weir racing. He is a super cool guy and really knows his ----(cept for tuning ;)) so he talked me out of using the HF mani and making my own so he sold me some flanges

THESE ARE AWESOME AND I TOTALLY RECOMEND BUYING THEM

no no no. if you can weld, you can make a shitbird style mani or btm short equal length style. it might take some extra work, but it'll be way worth it. :-*

I don't really understand the hype behind these full race style manifolds, his car is not a full race car, nor will be on the high end of the spectrum for a street car. Not to mention that tubular equal length manifolds actually raise spool time, increase underhood temps, and are hell to make.(think of the collector) in my educated opinion, you'd be best to simply make a nice log style for your application.

^^no i went up for an adapter plate and he talked me outta it. there wasn't much price difference. well its cheaper to make your own then to buy a mani and then an adapter

Nice, my cousins old tires look just like that. Except they have nearly perfect tread on one side, and metal wires sticking out on the other. :P

i just gave him my opinion that the hf mani's are easy and convenient, but they aren't really built with the purpose of a turbo in mind. he will have a much greater sense of accomplishment with a hm mani, and it will be totally custom! the spoonfeds are a nice couple, happy boosting!

my camber isn't too bad....my car is hardly low.....fairly even tread wear

Semnos>>paint your car flat black then...it only cost me $20 for a 12 pack and $12 for 5 or 6 cans of paint...my and mrs. spoon got wasted and painted it

camber doesnt kill tires, toe does. when will you guys ever learn. so why is it that pictures of your car and of new stuff are good. but when it comes to pics of your gurl. their all blurry n ----

You've got some more researching to do before posting a comment like that. If serious enough most alignments problems will cause excessive tire wear, that includes Tow in/out, positive and negative camber, and even caster. But, what do i know? ;)

yea, I understand what he was saying, he didn't get the message across very well tho. Most people when they lower they're car, fail to get an alignment (or like me, crash the car into a curb, and totally ---- up the car, then pay some drunk dude 500 bucks to fix it, then not get an alignment) so now you've got a lowered car, thats got some bad camber, is toe'd in or out a degree or two. So you get excelerated wear on the tire, and since you got some negative camber, it just chews through it like crazy. So must ricers out there thend to believe that the reason why their tires are only lasting 10 000 miles is solely on camber.

I Got new upper ball joints on my car and have about 1 degree of negative camber, and since it's kinda a rip off to pay 70 bucks to get your car aligned, and all they are adjusting is the toe, I made my own alignment machine. I do my own alignments.
