ha, yeah right, he did the same thing i did and mine cracked 3 day later at 12 psi. since i added the support from the turbo to the block, i haven't had a problem.

That looks pretty good considering the starting point, lol.

Remeber, triangle = the STRONGEST SHAPE.

I was gonna say this, but didnt know if you wanted me to or not...

yeah, someone mentions in the thread, you need to support the turbo, not the manifold.

more likely to crack a manifold, weight of a turbo? or some douche w/ a horribly tuned motor with astronomical EGT's and no turbo timing? all manifolds will crack from the latter. the former however is far more easily preventable.

Wrong, rally cars and other properly setup high horsepower turbo cars have orange exhaust manifolds almost constantly and they don't have a problem with cracking manifolds.

it all depends on the materials used

all i know is mild steel 1/8th inch thick weld elbows and 1/2" exhaust/turbo flanges OWN YOU! won't crack, i know a guy here in Miami who custom built mine for a/c, equal length 1 1/4" id tubular for $400. though w/warranty not to crack, i've seen a manifold he made 2 years ago, stil looking good, never cracked. same guy welded my charge pipes, down pippe, oil pan, BOV mount tube, and helped me out on the install for $120. guess he felt bad for charging me $400. for the manifold.
