New slipping clutch
Well I put a new clutch in with my motor. It was a stage I Pro Clutch. I also put in a new flywheel while I was at it. Stock type not lightened. All surfaces were cleaned with brake clean and install went very well I thought. New pilot and Throw out bearing. I bled it the best I could. Now the pedal feels lighter than before and it seems to melt into 2nd gear on a hard shift insted of chip the tires and bang hard. Any ideas?
I just emailed the guy at www.proclutch.com |
Re:New slipping clutch
Try adjusting your clutch pedal... That's the first easy thing I can think of.... Good luck!

Re:New slipping clutch
I had never heard of Pro Clutch until now, either way if it is a cable tranny, try adkusting the cable screw, happened to me, would not move and it was the cable.

Re:New slipping clutch
Check the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder if these are bad they could cause the slipping.

Re:New slipping clutch
did you break it in before attempting "hard shifts" ?

Re:New slipping clutch
Why did you bleed the hydro system??? If it was working ok...you wouldn't have to.
It's not the clutch IMO...if the pedal feels lighter it has something to do with your hydraulic's |
Re:New slipping clutch
I did break it in. Semnos I installed the clutch when I install the new motor so it all came out and I had to bleed it. Now I'm fucked.
