ya, i had one of these before. I didnt do it, lol made me nervous. but what is their goal...i mean...i dont get it either.

Not sure how this one works. The others where they send you a cheque for $5,000 to pay for a $1,000 item, they give you a fake cheque. You make the deposit. If it has a US bank on it, they give you credit for the money. Then you are supposed to get a real cashiers check and send the difference back to them.

A few days later they tell you it was a bad check and now your account is -$5,000. You lose.....

With th is one $800,000, I'm not sure. Maybe they'll ask for your account number to do a "wire" transfer to it, but instead they take money. I don't know. But it is a scam.

We had posted a website before, dedicated to get back at these guys.

I usally reply with ---- off or soemthing like that. Then I started replying with "if I get another one of these, this email will be forwarded to my lawyer and you will be payin me" and that pretty much stopped them. lol.

I just got one of these the other day, too. and at my military email no less. It was from the Republic of Benin. Something about using me to clear checks or some ----. I emailed back and said that they were now on a terrorist watch list, and should expect a visit from a smart bomb shortly.

I'm seriously tempted to make a fake email adddress, write the guy saying I'd help him out just to get that check, I'd then hang it on my wall for conversaton...or just flash it at the ladies, "oh whats this! another weekly paycheck!'

i made the mistake of responding to one of them from nigeria with the good ole, "uh please go ---- yourself"
bitch ended up getting on messenger and instant messaging me, so being curious i started asking some questions. like mainly how the ---- did you get my name and why are you asking me to come to nigeria and take your money. all she would say was that she was very poor and had three kids and they have no money.

so i asked how she was on the internet if she has no money? then i told her i was reporting her to the fbi and she went away.
