Meh, the only thing they got right was the hatch glass, a la the 2G CRX.

FYI, guys, the front doesn't look remotely VW/Audi to me. Probably because that meme was originally stolen from a 50 year old Lotus.

I'm prepared to think they are okay if there are some slight moderations of the gayer aspects... certainly better than a Del Sol as it sits, though.

most definitely

I think they'll have a more civic style front end, slightly modified to make it different though.
Probably a d (r?) series version, and a k series SI model (which I pray to god won't be hybrid and come with 6-speed lsd)
Probably will be bloated as all get out (please build it fit-weight or less, Honda)
The 19" wheels WILL NOT be on the production model
The LED headlights MOST LIKELY won't be on the production model
Interior will not look that crazy (but will be better than a 2g DSM leather interior)
Glasstop will stay (or be optional) if they're smart. Anyone seen the Mazda concept 2 thing with the glass top?

Honda would be smart to ask the enthusiasts what they want. They semi-corrected their fuckups with the newest SI, as compared the the previous variant. I don't need power steering, don't need plastic hugeass bulk everywhere, don't want hybrid crap weighing the car down for a few more MPG. Don't want a blue glowing interior. Don't want a huge snout on the front. The rear end needs a little work... Don't want "throttle by wire."

They're running out of chances to gain back the respect of the enthusiasts (although I'm sure H-T will eat these up no matter what). If they do it right I'll drive my 1990 turbo crx over there and purchase one to park along side my beater. RWD (or AWD) and something bigger than an inline 4 would be nice, but I know it won't happen.

I have little faith this will end up being a car I want.
