New here to HMT

17 Attachment(s)
I bought a 323 back at the end of november. These are the first pictures I took. I've done a lot of work to it as there was a lot of Ghetto ---- done to it.
I've gotten other pictures but they're on a friend's computer so I cant upload them ATM

Removed the front lip, added nuts and bolts and screw here and there, ECU wiring was a disaster I had to clean that up and tape it all up nice. VC gasket is RTV? WDF I put a new one on. Leaky oil return fixed.
I recently got broken into so I have been in the process of repairing the dash where they FUBARED it.

Last week I relocated the battery to gice myself a little more room for a better BOV and to mount the coil in a better location.

She is a work in progress and I don't think I will ever be finished with her.

Yea I pulled both seats and the entire dash after the break in. I decided to replace the entire front ring harness. The one was hacked to ---- so I got one and put it in there. I also removed several clips and wires from the front ring harness and body harness while I was at it. I still have not retinted the window because I have other things that need to be done first.
I've mostly been fixing all the ---- that the previous owner did half assed. I will be pulling the engine this weekend or next weekend to fix an oil leak. Its not that hard to pull the engine in this car and I want to reroute a couple parts of the power harness. The only mod I've done to this car since I've had it is a rear strutbar, battery relocate to the trunk and EDM headlights. The light quality of the JDM headlights for this car was very poor.
My plans for what to fix next are: Oil leak, hks ssqv bov, mount the coil to the strut tower, get rid of that damn blue VC
Next mod: Megasquirt V3 and custom made harness & 4 wire TPS

Yes. I did. From the day I saw this car I fell in love with it. There is nothing on here that I cant fix. It all is just going to take a little time.

I bought my camaro from a mid 30 year old guy with a wife house and kids. Mess? I think not. Now though, I've molested it nicely and fed it bottles of nitrous.

Is that a ------- GTX??

Or is it just the GT turbo, but holy mother of god do I want a GTX.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH that POS protege has racing seats!!!!! Who the ---- does he race? Skate boards!!! bwahahahaha I owned one of those clistening pieces of ---- for 2 years. even if you swap in hte 1.6 turbo motor you have only successfully upgraded a 80 hp power plant with a turbod 130 hp power plant that MIGHT top out at like 170 with MAD dough thrown at it.

323 is sweet but DOnt care too much for all the rice on it. Wings on a hatch is too ricy\gay.

Re: New here to HMT

Only majour downer about the GTX is the factory gearbox. In other words check your bank account first before launching it hard.
Nice car POST PORN

It has racing seats because stock seats suck. Also the stock seats hardly kept me where I need to be when cornering, behind the wheel. Those seats are very comfortable and serve the purpose I want.

I hope that you at least got a good deal on them, protegés are a heaping inexcusable mess of a car.

wheresthericego 02-14-2008 09:23 PM

Re: New here to HMT

I don't need more spoilers. The two are perfect. They don't need to be bigger and they don't need to be aluminum or CF. They make the ass of the 323 not look like a bland bastard child. The racing seats I did get a good deal on them. The only reason the protege seems to be a waste of a car is because mostly the only people who try to mod them do dumb ---- and put gay stickers on them. I, and a couple others, have swapped out the shitty ass engine with a BP, the same engine as the miata. I also have been collecting parts to turbo the bitch. The car is what you make it and its not my fault people don't take the inititive on turboing a different car.

Re: New here to HMT

No, something is retarded with the differential collar or the ring, at least the MazdaSpeed engine and trans with the LSD, wherein a friend of mine who was a big Protegé head did that swap (for an obscene amount of money) and got it supercharged by some fool shop.

It crapped the trans twice when he launched.

But yea, come to think of it he was a bit of a tard.
