New guy here

I've been lurking for a bit and finally registered a couple days ago. I'm glad there's a forum out there that doesn't mind not being pretty, but getting the job done.

I'll have to admit... I don't have a Honda car and have never had one. I've worked on my brother's 85 Prelude when it still ran, and I have an 81 Honda Express moped in the garage. It seems like I'm hanging more around Mitsus more than anything since I'm on 4th one. Seems MIVEC heads are hard to come by in the states and the whole VTEC thing is interesting with more available Honda parts.

I've been MIGging (flux core), and stick welding for a while. I just bought a cheap-o TIG welder off ebay and it should be here soon. Something new to get my ears wet.

Contrary to popular belief, this isn't a Honda website. Post up some welding pics in the fab section when you get your welder O0

Any plans for boost?

Yeah. I know this really isn't a Honda website, but the Hondaness is overwhelming.

I've had the taste of boost and I like it. More cars should come with turbos/superchargers stock. I guess money drives everything. I currently have a 92 Plymouth Laser RS turbo. It's the lightest of the Talon/Eclipse/Laser trio for the generation. I had a 4G63t in my 90 Dodge Colt, but never finished the project and starting raping parts for the Laser.

Previous to that, I had a 92 Mitsu Galant and WAY before that a 91 Plymouth Colt. So, 4 Mitsus. Don't think I want anything newer as all the Mitsus past 95 or 96 sucked ass and are piles of ----. Again, money drives everything and we've all seen the Evo X with the broken accelerator pedal.

I've had my brother's 99 Mazda Millenia S with the sueprcharged v6 and it's a nice smooth ride with a good flat torque curve... well, feels like it anyways. I also have 2 spare Millenia superchargers sitting in my garage *hint hint*.

Current DDs are a 99 Ford Ranger with the 2.5L i4 and a 95 Geo Tracker 4x4. I want to turbo both of them actually. I'm just a little afraid of the engine in the Tracker. Aluminum and open deck blocks scare me for boost.

I'd love to pick up a Del Sol cheap and do an engine swap on it. Actually, more like an engine relocation. It's just asking for a mid-engine conversion.

Fail. I will hate you forever unless you drop that laser like the POS it is and show your Colt some love. It has ten times the potential of any dsm.

Pics of the Colt or ban. :6

Oh, believe me, I don't want the Laser. I want to fix my Colt up. I just need to get the laser up and running and looking nice so I can sell it.

I really don't want a 4G63t in my Colt. I want something different as everyone is doing the 4g63t swap. I'm really wanting to do a 6g72 swap, but everyone says it won't fit. I'm thinking 6G72 with the 4-valve SOHC heads should squeeze in there fine... either that or use the 6G73 out of an Avenger. I'm sure it'd fit if I went RWD with it, LOL.
