This is what happens when your broke and bored. Today i decided that the exhaust fumes where just getting to be too much for me. i welded this up with extra pipe that was laying around after the turbo install.

surprissingly it really hushed down the exhaust even without a muffler. Its way more quiet than the ricer canisters... and for the environmental racers, this is only a temporary set up till i can afford a muffler... and no this is not my daily driver.

look like it'll work really well to me, leave it like that, no muffler is better. mine didnt really DRONE open dp, but it was loud at WOT

it actually sounds pretty good... its just a light Bahbahbaaabababa at idle and crazy spoolin and blow off sounds when i punch it. it kinda pops and gurgles when decelerating.

where i live (eastern washington) there is a lot of rice and dumb fucks driving around town, so if you keep it sleeper most of the time the cops won't mess with you.

I'd have to be a fan of the open downpipe on this one because i never got around to putting the exhuast on :) Didn't have room for a filter either and hearing that turbo spool up had the be one of the coolest things I've ever heard. Someone told me it sound like a jet was coming
And the crazy thing is i didn't get tickets with the O.D. but I did with the exhuast before.

yeah same here.......I was driving around with an open DP when it was freezing out and it seemed so much louder, but the cop pulls over the ricer beside me with an indiglo Honda badge.

Have driven with a 15" downpipe (that's lenght not diameter ;) ), for quite a while, I was too lazy to make the rest of the exhaust. The spooling sound was crazy loud, loved it. But didn't like the attention in the city.

just curious... have you used FTL with slicks before? i'm wondering b/c after trying it out with street tires a while back i could never get a consistent launch, either not enough wheel spin or too much... i always thought maybe it would be much better with slicks.
