new december car and driver -viper ownage-
well yup, came home to the newest issue today. just as the cover said "shock and awe" with a picture of the srt10 viper rolling next to the new z06. hmm this should be interesting. open to the page to see the viper falling 2nd to the vette. i like this:
vette 1/4
11.8@125
viper 1.4
12.1@120
i know its not all about a straight line to most of you, but for me it is. and the vette even owned it in the twisties and skidpad. did I mention 20k cheaper than the viper fully loaded? i guess what im trying to say is the viper just got it's live shattered into 5000 pieces. long live the vette

Viper is overpriced.Vette is finally risen to the supreme American sports car again.I still laugh when I see a original Viper rolling around, those things were like some cheap plastic kit car.

i like vipers, cant argue with 500cubes man. its really easy to get street vipers in the 9s cause they love the dope.
i like both vettes and vipers
the first vipers are like old school bling retro cool. i still rememebr married with children when al was gunna get a viper cause his dodge rolled over a million miles, but they had to tape it rolling over for a commerical. and he fell asleep in his car hit the shifter into neutral and rolled it over backing down the driveway haha!
love that show

anyone remember the tv show Viper on NBC when Dodge first came out with the car? it was cheesy, but I watched it every week. :1 The Viper will always be one of my favorite cars as well.

I got the magazine but still have not read the article.
I'm with scottsi, I mean I like both cars, but If I'm going to spend the cash on a Viper SRT-10 I would probably rather have a Euro exotic, better materials and looks.
I think the vette is PIMP for the price, even if it is still covered in cheap plastics inside, but hey at least it keeps the costs down.
