True true.. but how many people try to make an all-motor 4 banger, and has successfully done so, and got it daily-driven, and in the 11's 1/4 mile? :-*

Re:new dart block

I have heard many good things about that block. although, dont they cost around $2500- more than most people have in there turbo set-ups, although, he probably has $5500-6K in a all motor 11 sec car??(correct me if im wrong) not to bad, I think...

where can you buy that block at?

edit
if you wanna see some real post whoring, just click that link. wow. I thought I was bad.

I'm into both all motor and FI. Hell I just got 45 mm webers for my high compression d16 just tryin to be different. http://www.importperformanceparts.ne...cks_honda.html.
Not to bad conserding you have to find a spare block and then send it in if you want to sleeve a block. But I believe a couple of the racing series dont allow the use of these blocks yet. Cool build.

:o

" $5800 on the whole entire head? TB, Intake manifold, fuel rail, injectors, ETC? "

" Nope thats just the head WITHOUT valvetrain.
Add in the 3 different sets of valvetrain and 5 sets of cams and I'm at over 10,000 "

Holy ----.. this kid really did waste his money :-X

SkunT 08-22-2004 11:28 AM

Re:new dart block

:o yeah, i think that was a definate waste of money.

Word. Jeff has like $6k as what quaine said into his whole built ls/vtec build.

With another $4k into suspsension and other sshit include other peices of hte turbo kit, im sure jeffs crx would rock the socks off of this all motor.

not to mention the ls/vtec will beable to be driven pretty much daily if wanted.

all that money and only 160-170ish power damn what a waste....bbka...made like 200+ all stock just tuned right?......damn..

Re:new dart block

a dart block is overkill for an all motor Honda. That motor will never see over 400hp so there's really no point.

his shirt says got boost? lmao

Re:new dart block

you don't need no new ------ block to build an all motor car. what a waste of money. now if the guy was running 30psi on that block and making 600whp, then i'd give him props yo' word up my niggaz!

ssl2k 08-22-2004 05:30 PM

Re:new dart block

word

but...30psi? ---- that. that block is filled i think right? You could push 30psi on just a sleeved block, but you could prolly push a 3bar sensor all the way up to 44psi or ------ go ape nuts and run something like a 4-5bar sensor to it's peak.

lol...can someone say 1000hp honda 4 banger?

that'd be worht that money.

Re:new dart block

Big downside to a dart block is they are illegal in NHRA sport compact and nopi. Thats why nobody runs them.. I read that build by tbone when he first got that block, I think its pretty impressive but I would never dish that kind of money. All motor is an expensive game that I just could never play.

rsmith2786 08-22-2004 07:21 PM

Re:new dart block

Why are they illegal. That really sucks.

Re:new dart block

okay, on a serious note, how many psi could a dart block handle?

i over exaggerated a little bit, 11.3@131, but easily into the 10's on slicks, not sure on what turbo/psi...etc...i graduated from school with him, but was never really friends, so dont know a whole lot about the car, but i could get some specs...check the top of page 2 for everything on the car...469hp/330ftlbs

word. dart block is for ballers, like spoon motors. they don't do anything that you can't get a built B to do, but they cost more and that guy in the riced out eg 4 door that lives down the street from you DOESN'T have one.

more than your pistons and rods ever will so basically an unlimited amount
