Did you notice that too? It looks like the offset on the wheels has them sticking out.

I always remember the gold D2 hatchback from years ago, but this is probably the first time I've heard of one of their products. Weird. They look nice though.

Yea, it would almost look better if it had the tires stretched a bit or something, but either way it looks pretty nice.

hey i have a question about these coilovers, maybe you could help me out:

in the front struts, do you have the ability to shorten the unit very much? how far does it look like you could shorten the strut before you run out of threads or the top perch for the springs spins off the top of the coilover?

and in the rear, do you have the ability to lengthen the strut very much longer than stock? maybe 1.5 inches would be plenty....

the reason I ask is because I am trying to research putting civic coilovers on my 86 accord (which currently has the koni/groundcontrol coilover setup - too soft etc). at this point we know the rear struts bolt in, but are quite a bit shorter than stock accords, so the highest you can raise the car without running out of shock travel is is about a 3" drop, which is pretty significant on those cars.

on the front we have had to modify the lower spring perch to effectivly relocate it further up on the strut body. this gets us excellent dampening out of the strut, but in order to do that the bottom of it sticks out the bottom of the suspension fork, and it rubs on the axle in a significantly lower car. (note: axles are harder than KYB AGX struts).

if you could provide me with info about how flexable the threaded lower parts of these coilovers are, i would really really appreciate it!

Thanks

In the pic of the coilovers i posted both front and rear are at their lowest

The front dosent have as much adjustment as the rears, but still enough to make a noticable difference.

the rears have about 4" adjustment... the fronts id say 2-3"

You lowered your car too much, and have therefore ruined it.

Stock ride height, homies, there are a lot of dynamic cambering and castoring issues here...

Your completely right. That pic was taking the second i finished fitting them. over this week i have been continuenly rising it and tuning the dampening effect.

Its still v.low but to say i have ruined it is complete and utter bollocks, its a vast improvment handleing wise and a good improvement on the traction and braking.

Surfer, no turbo yet, just reading up atm ;)

Looking at that second pic, figuring you are pushing at least 200 whp *and* trying to corner: ruined.

Shoot for 1/2" below stock Si ride height, MAX. That's that all the Toda/JUN/etc track cars did back in the day. That is where best handling is... and body roll is not a bad thing, the suspension is designed to camber so you have a solid contact patch around turns.

wtf?

his car is CLEAN AS ----. and what CRX forum?

the ride height looks pretty hot, although personally I prefer 'em slammed. something some people forget, is that you should try to keep the rear end just a tad higher than the front, to help with traction. I went from 1" difference to 3/8" difference (when i slammed my car on its coils after i got it) and noticed a big difference in traction from a dig. also it helps to have a friend help you, so you can measure your heights with yourself in the car, so you can keep the front level and the rear level when your driving in it.
