Default New cylinder head UPDATED (56k no way)

Dunno if this is in the right forum or not since I'm just trying to find out what I have here...but here goes.

Here are the before pictures of the head, at the bottom are the after pictures when I recieved it back from the machine shop. 88 Turbo CRX ensured I had the funds to pay for the work and he took the cost of the machine work and the valve seals off of the total price of the head. So now I only owe him $350 more, $650 seems like an alright deal for what the head turned out to be.

So now everything's alright, and the head will hopefully go on tomorrow or the day after.

Thumbs up for Mike (88 Turbo CRX) helping me get this ---- sorted out quickly and effectively, good guy to deal with.

---- that ----. Send it back.

Port and polish is kinda like JDM these days. Anyone with a dremmel thinks they are a head porter. That head looks nasty.
I bought my gsr head for $300 used from 88turbocrx, and $130 to completely rebuild it to stock specs. Done by reputable machine shop. Fully rebuilt, and I'm into it for $430.
That pile of ---- isn't worth $100. Especially if it is milled .20

That ---- is so nasty it even made the camera take shitty pics! Yeah I'd have to go with the JDM thing like Shocka said. Just puting port 'n' polish into the name helps it sell like saying something is jdm. So did you pay the remaining money that you owe him? I'd say done deal and cause that head looks fucked up. I mean it probably works but damn that thing is haggared looking. What the hell is up with those combustion chambers? Looks like big gouges taken out by the valves. Don't be scared to say who it was cause then other people know not to buy ---- from him from the looks of that from what he originally told you. Speak up son!

If you say so, I got it off of 88TurboCRX. I can't really speak for the quality of it myself since I've only seen a number of other real port/polish heads, but this didn't look at all like I expected it to. If it's not what he said it is then I've got no use for it, I've already got a regular B16 head in pristine condition on my motor! I have not paid in full for it yet, just the downpayment.

The Valves/retainers look aftermarket to me, the porting looks good... Looks like it needs some cleaning

What I'm really wanting to know is if it appears to actually be ported. I can obviously clean it up but I'm also not very happy about the condition I recieved it in. The springs and retainers did look aftermarket to me too, but what do I know

Basically I'm not too worried about it being dirty, but rather I'm worried about getting what I paid for, which is a ported and polished head. I was planning on installing it today but now I'm not so sure.
