New CLutch In!! Finally (RANT)

Well first I would like to thank my for the grabby 6puck clutch so far I've left a few 50 ft long strips of rubber.

The only problem is the first burn out I did I lost just as much oil as tire. Without noticig a hairline crack formed around the to rear tran mount bolts. When I dropped the clutch, good bye to a 2" by 2" chunk of my tranny. SO out it can, I disassembled the whole thing (WOW that alot of parts) got it tig welded and reassembled it (5 time because every time sometime wasn't right) And now it's back in the car. I just have to hold reverse otherwise it pops out. SO some day when I'm borede I check that out and my speedo sensir is asmiss.

Sorry no pics. To busy trying to fix it to snap some.

Again that to 88 Turbo CRX for the clutch and to my dad for staying up till 1:30 o help reassemble it and place back in the car!

If this is a D-series tranny there will be a lot more breaking in the near future.

Ya, D-Series trannies are cheap but I'm in Canada and in my area, ZC trannies are hard to come by!!!! What would be the point of getting the clutch and pressure plate for a ZC tranny, buying an SI or DX from the junk yard, Having to buy new axle shafts, and not being able to use my nice new clutch!

Anyways, sorry for no pics

All D-series tranny can use the same clutch as long it's from '89-up with '90-up flywheel .
cable trannies release bearing all the same...
I used a tranny I ordered for a '91 crx in my Eg with D15 and now I'm using it on a ZC with a Civic SR tranny....it's kinda like the Civic Si in the states....has glass motorized sunroof and a D16A6, but I've noticed the gear ratios are the same as the ZC trannies. I've driven both. Highway driving sucks with this tranny though. Doing about 4+K in 5th @70mph

Semnos. Not all D Trannies are the same. TRUST ME!! I've tried. When I did my swap I knew this and I checked it out too. Flywheel surfaces vary, Teeth number on the spline vary, as does the shaft diameter. The only Tranny with the same spine as a ZC/88-89 teg is the 88 civic. BUT it uses a smaller clutch disc.

Here you go, check it out for yourself
