Those are good clutches. Seen it for myself.

I'd give Mike a sticky, but the fucken guy doesn't respond to his posts. He's a PM freak, and it bothers me. It usually ends up with 100 people going, "hello? where the ---- are you?"

BigJ,
Is that the super duty PP or is it the heavy duty (regular) pp. i ordered pretty much the same clutch from mike except for the unsprung hub but i did notice the difference in the "fingers" on the PP and was wondering what the big difference is. Ive had mine installed for about a week now and i'm happy with it so far. I went from OEM to unsprung six puck, when i mash the gas my girlfriend says i'm smiling ear to ear.

The only difference is clamping force through the fingers. A high clamping force requires more 'heavy duty' fingers and springs. As fas as what I have, not sure. It is 85% above stock if you know the ratings to model. I don't see why you would need more clamping unless you were insane for a street use. The one in evosols pic is probably full race, those fingers are huge.

If your not sure how the clutch works I can explain it to, but the main difference is how much clamping force it can produce to squeeze the clutch disc between pressure plate and flywheel. The benefits are more power handling and faster engagement.

Did you break your clutch in?

Stealth, I've never had a communications problem through email. Give that a try, I'm just surprised to hear that since he gave me good service and communication.

bigJ,
ive read that puck type clutches don't need a break in period like organic disks. but i did keep it under 4K and no hard launches for 350 miles, after that i just romped on it... i noticed it actually grabs better after launching hard a couple of times and also no more annoying chatter. Ive got 500miles on it now and lovin it... i guess the clutch i got is the full race type, in my opinion its very streetable, medium weight peda it wasn't like what everyone was saying it was gonna be like
