i don't think oil changes are scheduled maintenance type things, more like common sense maintenance. scheduled maintenance are like you 30k, 60k, "tune up" type bullshit, but they're all bull ---- anyways. the most complicated thing consists of tranny fluid change. i got my 00 si with 54k on it and took it by the dealer to see about a 60k mile maintenance (basically i just wanted to know what it consisted of so i could do it my self), he told me, oil/filter change, tranny fluid change, adjust valves, new spark plugs/wires, change cabin filter. all of this for the low price of 500 dollars, i did all of it my self for the low price of under 100 dollars, and it was only that much b/c i ordered my vc gasket from honda, and i used honda mtf (kinda pricey).

My mom was telling that back in the late 80's she had an rx7. She said that in the 10 years she owned it she never once changed her oil!
Im thinking it had to have been changed a couple times when brought to a repair shop for other things or something.
