The rear end reminded me of the 69 chevelle , which was awesome with the 396. What sucks is three things:
1. The front
2> the profile lets you know that this is a GTO with different ends, and I am tired of companies (GM is probably the worst) "Globalizing" platforms. They claim it makes things better, but I think it makes cars lose their identity
3. The "retro" spirit isnt there. The Chevelle and GTO were modded up options of the malibu and tempest, not individual brands created to sell a 25K car for 35K.
Personally, when I see these automakers bring back the "retro" brand, it makes me sick. Why didnt the new GTO sell as well as the original? Because it was a marketing ploy to get US buyers to pay 35K for a car that was completely engineered and already selling for 25K in the AUS, and it wasnt even a real performer for the price. Just like the music biz, for the car biz its all about the money.
There, after over a year on this board I have my first rant.
I can only hope that in the spirit of other rants someone posts some ****...

the Chevelle looks horrid IMO...it sucks too cause I'm a big time Chevelle fan 
at least its still RWD, unlike the Impala, the other GM "retro" ---- up that pissed me off.on the other hand that Charger concept(I'm guessing) looks amazing!!!

If these cars actually get built it would be ------- crazy but I don't see them going to production anytime soon. But at least the car companies see a new muscle car revolution comming and I guess they're trying to answer to the 4-banger craze
