New to Cars, have questions

Re:New to Cars, have questions
Ill take this last one...
Maintenance wise there are lots more to it than just coolant and oil...
1) FLUSH out coolant (NOT REFILL)
2) Oil Changes
3) Transmission Oil Change
4) Brakes: pads and bleeding brake lines
5) Freon in A/C (if its no longer cold)
6) Spark plugs
7) Water pump
Oil pump
9) Timing belts... actually all of the DAMN belts
10) Valve adjustments
11) Clutch and disc
12) Axles and those LOVELY LEAKY Honda CV Joints
13) Tires
14) Fuel injectors
.
.
.
The list goes on and on and on depending on how many miles have been put on the car, how old it is, how well its running etc... But in general for maintenance, change oil like 3,000 miles or so, fill up the coolant if its low, check for oil leaks, check spark plugs etc..
Belts usually come later in the equation. When you do end up buying car, the manual will give you a general idea of when to change what.
Oh yea, you need tranny fluid for automatics as well.
